Golf Equipment

Millions of people enjoy the game of golf. Some start out playing on the links, while others learn quite on their own and in places no one would imagine they could learn, using equipment that no one would or could ever see as being golf equipment. Normally a player is only allowed certain clubs and there is a limit to how many clubs each player can have in his or her bag. There are many items that go into a player’s bag before each round, such as golf tees, divot fixers, golf towels, and, of course, golf balls.

Many companies these days use promotional golf equipment to market their products, their company, and even their employees! Here are some ideas as to how to use golf equipment as a means to get the word out there.

Golf Towels
Golf towels are a no-brainer. Every hole that a golfer plays leaves the possibility that their clubs, their golf balls, their shoes, their hands even, will get dirty or wet. Embroidered or screen printed golf towels are great promotional items because they are items that are used during every single round of golf. Many companies, especially companies which are in the business of promoting golf courses, golf tournaments, and charities can, do and will benefit from such an item being used as a promotional item.

Golf Tees
Many companies which use golf equipment as promotional items use items that are inexpensive and indispensable to a golfer. The next thing on the list of things that can be used as promotional items in regards to the game of golf are golf tees. Like golf towels, golf tees are something that all golfers use for every single hole of golf. Most companies give these to their potential and returning clients in sets of 4 or 6, and the tees are imprinted with your company’s name or logo or both, and they come packaged in yet one more promotional item – the box or the envelope which the golf tees are packaged in.

Divot Fixers
Divot fixers are another thing which every golfer uses for every round of golf. Divot fixers are either made of plastic or wood, are imprinted with the company name and logo and usually are just given away by a company representative to each passerby.

And divot fixers, depending on the kind of material which they are made of, come in a variety of colors. The most popular kind of divot fixers are made of metal.

Golf Balls
The one thing that every single golfer needs and uses during every single round of golf are golf balls, and golf balls are the single most ordered promotional golf item that a company can use, and it is not only because they are used for every round, but also because when on the course, only the golf ball sees more of the course and the players on the course than do the course maintenance crew and the pro-shop staff. Everyone needs golf balls to play golf.

Rule Books
Another thing that can be used as a promotional item are rule books which are printed specifically for and as promotional items. With the rule book, the company name and logo, contact information and perhaps even the company representative’s name are printed on each of these books. Though not all golfers carry a copy of the rules in their bag, most will gladly take the books because the rules constantly change.

Whether you play the game of golf or not, golf equipment as promotional items are always a good idea and usually you will not have any extras left over to have to worry about taking back to the office and explain away to the higher-ups. Besides, the chances of having to explain to them where the promotional items went versus why you didn’t bring any back with you are slim- most company executives enjoy the game of golf and probably could use some of them as gifts for new client accounts they are trying to get. Any way you look at it, golf equipment as promotional items are a hole in one for any marketing effort that any company, no matter the size, can be sure to be the most useful and appreciated effort that any golfer whose company is being courted by yours!
